Andrew Mitchell attends trio of school summer fun days

Sutton’s MP kicked off the summer season with a series of summer fetes and school fun days last weekend.

His first port of call was the New Oscott Primary Fun Day, held on Friday evening at the school. He joined staff and parents in participating in a number of activities organised by the children and teachers, and sampled a range of products available at the pop up stalls that had been set up.

Next was the turn of Little Sutton School, that held its Fun Day on Saturday morning and invited the local MP to judge the bake-off competition. Although he took full advantage of his position as judge to sample the full range of cakes, he knew he had to save space for his final trip of the afternoon to Whitehouse Common School, where he had another bake-off to judge.

Following his fun-filled weekend, Andrew Mitchell said “I always look forward to this time of year. The end of the summer term should be celebrated, along with the achievements of both the students and staff at the schools who have put so much effort into the last year. These have all been excellent events to mark the end of the school year, and I hope that everyone who attended has a relaxing and fun summer break planned”.
