Andrew Mitchell MP: Christmas Message 2010

With Christmas decorations lighting up homes across Sutton Coldfield I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my constituents and readers of the News a very merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

My thoughts go out to all those who can't be with their loved ones this year, perhaps because of illness or distance. I would like to send my very best wishes to all those who have family or friends in our armed forces, whether in Afghanistan or elsewhere in the world. We also think of all those who are less fortunate and who are struggling to make their Christmas happy and festive. Whatever you have planned for the holidays, I hope that all of you enjoy spending time with family and friends and that your festive celebrations are happy and relaxing.

I know that this year has been busy and eventful locally, nationally and across the world. I'm sure that 2011 will bring new challenges for all of us and I wish everyone the best of luck with whatever new plans they have - and for keeping their New Year's resolutions!

Finally I would like to thank you for giving me the privilege and responsibility of representing Sutton Coldfield in Parliament. As always please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help you with any problems, address any issues or answer any questions, I'm always happy to help.

My very best wishes to you and yours,

Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP

Member of Parliament for Sutton Coldfield
