Andrew Mitchell MP congratulates staff of local Sutton retailer for their generous charitable giving

Andrew Mitchell MP dropped in at local independent toy retailer, The Entertainer, to celebrate the first year of the Sutton Coldfield store being 'Geared for Giving' and for receiving the Government's Gold Quality Mark for their efforts.

Mr Mitchell congratulated staff for taking part in the Workplace Giving Scheme which allows them to give a tax efficient gift to the charity of their choice, direct from their salary.

Andrew Mitchell MP, said "The Entertainer is a steadily growing family business employing local people. It is good to see that, even when times are tough, staff at this Sutton store are supporting others in their community who are less fortunate."

"This scheme successfully removes the unnecessary bureaucracy of donating to charity. Following the success of this scheme locally I hope other businesses in Sutton Coldfield will now look to use it too."
