Andrew Mitchell MP visits Falcon Lodge Youth Centre

Andrew Mitchell MP visited Falcon Lodge Youth Centre following a meeting at the House of Commons with some of its members as part of the Choose Youth Lobby of Parliament.

During the visit Sutton’s MP along with local Councillor, Margaret Waddington, toured the facilities and heard about the wide range of activities and events Birmingham Youth Service provides for the young people of Sutton Coldfield. This includes drop-in sessions, sexual health clinics and the opportunity to go on outdoor pursuits and residential trips.

Mr Mitchell spoke with his young constituents at the Centre and addressed the issues concerning them. He also took part in a ‘Guns & Gangs Workshop’, led by the local YMCA Streetwise Team.

Andrew Mitchell MP, said “The outlook for the future of Falcon Lodge Youth Centre has improved over recent months and Councillor Waddington and I have been in discussion about the concerns of young people and local Youth Workers who use this service.

“Youth Centres, such as Falcon Lodge, play an invaluable role for our community in Sutton Coldfield. Since my last visit the club has gone from strength to strength – it is great to see.”
