Andrew Mitchell visits Seesaws day nursery

Andrew Mitchell visited Seesaws nursery at Chester Road on 7th November.

Seesaws has two nurseries in his constituency and following an extensive refurbishment of both the garden and the interior of the nursery, Andrew very kindly agreed to come along and formally open our nursery garden.

Despite the weather the day was well supported and staff, parents and children alike enjoyed the new facilities, not to mention the Bouncy castle, face painting and barbeque.

Andrew had a tour of the nursery from Sandra Jones, the Manager and Claire Slater, the Managing Director. He seemed very impressed and even braved the torrential rain to inspect the gardens.

Everyone was delighted and extremely proud when Andrew talked about the work of the nursery and how much difference a sound start makes to children’s lives. He talked about the importance of education and learning and having access to quality child care in order to support working parents. Andrew knew the area had some excellent well established nurseries and said…

“Royal Sutton Coldfield is very lucky to have many well-resourced and very good nursery facilities for the children in the area and Seesaws can be very proud to be counted in the top rank of these.”

Andrew cut the ribbon and declared the newly refurbished nursery open.
Jayne Ackers – Principal and Director of Seesaws said…. “Any nursery is only as good as its staff and Seesaws feels it has some of the best staff in the industry.” She thanked all the staff for their dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm in caring for the children and helping them meet new challenges, and then thanked them for all their efforts to make the nursery and garden look as lovely as it does. Jayne explained “the staff are inspiring and have helped in all aspects of the planning of the new garden and interior. They know the children well and are the ones who are best placed to decide what the individual rooms should look like. Management is there to support them and we try to do as much as we can to make them all feel part of the Seesaws family.”

Seesaws has 5 nursery sites and operates a drop in at any time policy so if you would like to come along and see us please feel free to pop in, you will be made very welcome.
