New Mall owners accept Andrew Mitchell’s invitation to discuss plans for Sutton Coldfield Town Centre

Andrew Mitchell MP has held meetings with the new owners of the Gracechurch Centre, M&G Real Estate, to discuss the future development of the Town Centre.

In addition, Sutton Coldfield’s MP and Andrew Burley, the Director of Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID have met with Councillor Tahir Ali, the City Council’s Cabinet Member for Development to discuss support from the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for improving Sutton Coldfield Town Centre.

It is now approaching a year since local residents shared their views about how to boost economic regeneration in Sutton, at a Public Meeting - organised by Sutton Coldfield’s MP - with influential individuals who lead in planning, running, representing and investing in the Town.

Andrew Mitchell MP, said “I have held a series of meetings since the Public Meeting I organised last year, to ensure that we drive forward investment in our Town. “I am most grateful to Anthony Ross, the Director for Investment at M&G Real Estate for agreeing to come to Sutton to discuss their plans in a further Public Meeting which I will organise at a convenient time for all those with an interest in ensuring that Sutton Coldfield Town Centre makes progress.”

Chairman of Sutton Coldfield District Committee, Councillor Anne Underwood, said “I welcome the opportunity to work with the new owners to work towards a brighter future for the Town as a whole in which Gracechurch has an important part to play.”
