Tickets for the Royal Sutton Coldfield Great Debate on the European Union sell out in less than half an hour

When tickets went on sale for the Royal Sutton Coldfield Europe Debate which is being sponsored by the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer and Chaired by Andrew Mitchell MP, they were sold out within half an hour.

Well before the doors of Andrew Mitchell’s office opened at 8am, a queue stretching down the Sutton Coldfield High Street numbered nearly 100.

Andrew Mitchell said, “Obviously we’re delighted that all the tickets have gone so quickly. As well as the ones sold on the day we have invited senior figures from the local community and representatives of all political parties but demand has been much greater than we can accommodate. We have already filled the Town Hall to the maximum capacity permitted by the Fire Service. To those who have not been able to secure a ticket we are negotiating with the BBC to live stream the Debate on the day. Full details will follow in the Royal Sutton Observer.

In addition, there will undoubtedly be a few tickets available on the day and these will be allocated to those waiting outside on a first come first served basis.

Furthermore, a full report will appear about the Debate and the arguments deployed in the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer on Friday 17 June in good time to assist Suttonians making up their minds before Referendum day on 23 June 2016.”
