Andrew Mitchell MP reviews progress at Good Hope Hospital

Following the appointment by the NHS Regulator, Monitor, of a new Interim Leadership Team for the Heart of England NHS Trust, Andrew Mitchell has met with the Interim Chief Executive, Dame Julie Moore and Jacqui Smith, Chair of the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, primarily to discuss the progress of services delivered by Good Hope Hospital but also to ensure that the implementation of short & long term financial plans to improve the Trust’s finances are in the interest of his constituents in Sutton Coldfield.

Andrew Mitchell meets regularly with local Healthcare providers in the interests of maintaining good, accessible services for his constituents and during the meeting with the new Heads of the Heart of England Trust stressed the importance of ensuring smooth deliverance of key services.

Mr Mitchell said, “I have always worked closely with the health service providers in Sutton and beyond to guarantee that all my constituents have access to the services they need and receive a good level of care. The new team that has been put in place is already showing a firm grip on problems that are essentially across Heart of England and not specific to Good Hope and I look forward to future developments which will enhance Good Hope Hospital as a fully active District General Hospital with all that this entails.”
