Andrew Mitchell MP: New Year Message 2015

14th January 2015

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my constituents a very happy New Year! I hope you had a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas break.

I have a had most rewarding year as your local MP, meeting and corresponding with thousands of constituents, visiting a wide range of local businesses, schools and charities, as well as working hard to represent our Town in Westminster on issues of local and national importance. I have enjoyed taking time to listen to and try to solve any individual problems where I am able to provide assistance. It is this part of my role as your MP that I find the most important and rewarding.

The coming year will inevitably be shaped by the General Election in May, and I hope that the strong record of this Government will see a Conservative Government elected to continue along the path of recovery this country needs. In terms of unemployment, in Sutton we have seen it reduce by over fifty percent during this Government, and I am confident that the whole country will continue to benefit on our current course.

Throughout 2015 I will be focusing on the interests of our Royal Town, supporting local people on local issues and representing Royal Sutton Coldfield and everyone who lives and works here.

As your Member of Parliament I look forward to hearing from you if ever I can help. Please do not hesitate to get in touch either by emailing or by writing to me at the House of Commons:

Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA

Happy New Year!
