The former Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, Chris Heaton-Harris MP, was the guest speaker at the Westminster Supper Club, attended by over 80 local Suttonians.
As is usual, the event was held at Aston Wood Golf Club in Shenstone. Organised by the Royal Sutton Coldfield Conservatives, it is one of four Supper Club evenings held each year. The meetings are always very popular and an enjoyable evening - with the focus not restricted to politics, but with a wide variety of guest speakers from all walks of life.
Following the event, Andrew said:
“It was a great pleasure to welcome Chris Heaton-Harris to our Royal Town, where he was greeted with warmth and affection by the assembled company.
As a former Minister of the Crown in the Brexit Department, that most challenging of ministries, he had a fascinating story to tell.
In this critical time for politics, it was a chance for Suttonians to discover more about what life is really like within the corridors of power.”
Chris Heaton-Harris remarked:
“I was delighted to address such an engaged and interested audience. It is always satisfying to engage with people who take a keen and active interest in politics – as the members of Westminster Supper Club recently proved to me!”
