Grandson of Winston Churchill to re-launch Westminster Supper Club in Sutton Coldfield

25th February 2014

The Rt Hon Nick Soames MP, grandson of Winston Churchill, is to re-launch Sutton Coldfield’s Westminster Supper Club next Friday 28th February, at Aston Wood Golf Club.

The Westminster Supper Club meets four times a year and is organised by Sutton Trinity Ward Councillor Margaret Waddington. The meetings are always extremely enjoyable with the flavour not restricted to Party political and there has been a wide variety of speakers over the years on many different issues.

The evening offers a two course dinner followed by an after-dinner speaker and will be attended by Sutton’s own MP, Andrew Mitchell.

The MP for Mid Sussex, promises to be an interesting and entertaining speaker with a wide breadth of experiences to recount from a political career which started in 1983. Mr Soames was a Member of the John Major Government serving as Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and as Minister of State for the Armed Forces at the Ministry of Defence. He also served as Shadow Secretary of State for Defence between 2003 and 2005.

The Westminster Supper Club is open to all and always very well attended though tickets sell out fast. Details for those wishing to attend are given below.
