Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, and Andrew Mitchell MP joined local councillors, and volunteers this weekend delivering surveys to residents about the future of the Town Centre. Across Britain, Town Centres are struggling, and our Royal Town is no different.
The Royal Town’s MP along with the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council (RSCTC) have been active in bringing forward regeneration ideas and earlier in the year met with M&G, the owners of the Gracechurch Centre, to develop these plans.
Taking forward these efforts the RSCTC is drawing up a masterplan to regenerate our Town Centre so that it continues to be a success in the future. All residents in Royal Sutton Coldfield will be delivered a survey to help with the RSTC’s plan, which can be filled in and returned (free of postage) with what changes residents would like to see in the Town Centre.
Andrew Mitchell MP said:
“These surveys are a real way to help create a Town Centre that all Suttonians can be proud of. I would urge as many people as possible to return these surveys so that the Royal Town Council can develop a masterplan reflecting what the residents want.”
