The Town Hall fair held in the centre of the Royal Town had an unusual guest attending this year, King Henry VIII.

The King graciously addressed his subjects drawing attention to their status as the oldest Royal Town in England and is here seen receiving fealty from the Royal Town’s Member of Parliament
