Andrew Mitchell MP has met with Dr Mark Newbold, the new Chief Executive of the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, at Sutton Coldfield’s Good Hope Hospital. The introductory meeting was arranged by Sutton’s MP to continue his very close links with the hospital’s management and to further local health interests on behalf of his constituents. Appointed to the Trust in August 2010, Dr Newbold joins Heart of England from Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust, where he worked for twenty years. Andrew Mitchell and Dr Newbold discussed the need for good management and value for money at the hospital, and pledged to continue the close working relationship between the hospital and Sutton’s Member of Parliament. Dr Newbold said he would continue to improve the ‘flow of care’ at Good Hope, ensuring that patients are dealt with swiftly and effectively. Alongside this, the hospital will work on four key concepts: safety; care; efficiency and local engagement. Andrew Mitchell MP said, “I take the closest possible interest in Good Hope and am regularly in touch with its management in order to maintain high levels of health care for my constituents. I was pleased to see that Dr Newbold shows a thorough understanding of the Heart of England Trust and a commitment to serving the people of Sutton Coldfield here at Good Hope.” The picture shows Andrew Mitchell MP with Dr Mark Newbold, the new Chief Executive of the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.',
