Andrew Mitchell had a very enjoyable visit to YMCA Sutton Coldfield last week. YMCA are inviting the local community and businesses to join their Sleep Easy event to highlight youth homelessness and raise vital funds to help support their work with vulnerable young people.
This year’s event will take place on Friday, 4th April with Sutton Coldfield residents raising money by giving up their beds and sleeping out so others don’t have to.
The sleep out is returning to The Gracechurch Centre as part of a new charity partnership. Participants will brave hard floors and sleep in cardboard boxes for the night not only to raise money but also awareness of youth homelessness.
YMCA Sutton Coldfield has supported young people in Sutton Coldfield for the past 125 years. The charity changes the lives of hundreds of young people and their families each year, not only by providing accommodation to prevent youth homelessness, but also supporting disadvantaged youth, young carers and young people with disabilities.
