The Royal Town’s MP Andrew Mitchell and Councillor Ewan Mackey have visited the newly renovated Falcon Lodge community centre which has now re-opened.

Fire damage had caused the Centre to close but refurbishment has now been completed giving the community an improved facility. The refurbished interior, complete with computers and a cooking area, offers many opportunities across the Falcon Lodge community, catering for all ages and interests.

The Falcon Lodge Centre is a central part of community life in the area and offers a range of activities including counselling and advice services.

Following his visit Andrew Mitchell said “Community Centres such as these are so important in maintaining a community life in residential areas such as Falcon Lodge. The staff who have worked so tirelessly to complete this refurbishment project are to be congratulated on their commitment and determination to provide a wonderful facility to benefit everyone living in the area.”
