Andrew Mitchell MP asks Suttonians to nominate local individuals and organisations that have inspired young people

The Kids Count Inspiration Awards will be held in the House of Commons on Monday 6th December.

Kids Count is a grass-roots organisation aiming to find practical solutions to the broad spectrum of issues that affect children and young people. The aim of the awards is to recognise those individuals and organisations that have inspired young people in their communities.

These special awards give MPs the opportunity to highlight outstanding work in their constituency and to demonstrate their commitment and support for young people, the Police and the third sector.

Andrew Mitchell MP is asking local people to nominate inspirational community figures before the nomination deadline of Monday 4th October.

The 2021 "Inspire the House" Award categories are as follows:

• Inspirational Young Person

• Inspirational Community Organisation

• Inspirational Police Officer/s

Commenting Andrew Mitchell MP said: “We are lucky in the Royal Town to have so many brilliant volunteers that support young people across Sutton Coldfield. I would like to encourage my constituents to email me with their nominations for the Inspire the House Awards and to particularly highlight those individuals and groups that have gone above and beyond to support local young people during the pandemic.”
