Sutton Coldfield’s MP Andrew Mitchell has visited the Crest Nicholson development on the Harvest Fields Estate in Sutton Coldfield as part of a visit organised by the National House-Building Council (NHBC). Mr Mitchell met with Peter Watton, NHBC Regional Director as well as Tim Beale, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson South West, where he heard about their commitment to developing a sustainable community in Sutton Coldfield. Andrew Mitchell MP, said “Whilst I recognise that it is necessary for the Government to build more homes I have long argued that in Birmingham Brownfield sites should always be the first option before building on green space that once built upon cannot be regained. “The planning permission on the Harvest Fields site was granted before I became Member of Parliament for Sutton Coldfield but following my visit to the final part of the development at this location I have to say that I was impressed by the quality of the building work, the community that has been created and the management programme that operates once the building work has been completed.” Peter Watton, NHBC Regional Director, added “NHBC was delighted to show Mr Mitchell the new homes that are being constructed in Sutton Coldfield. “NHBC works closely with developers like Crest Nicholson and Parliamentarians to ensure that homeowners benefit from high quality homes and valuable protection.” Photo: Andrew Mitchell MP with Senior Members of Crest Nicholson.
