Andrew Mitchell MP met with Sutton Coldfield’s Clergy on Friday 22 November for the annual cross-denominational meeting, hosted this year by Reverend Richard Tucker at St Columba’s Church. Mr Mitchell and the Church Leaders had a frank and open discussion on a wide range of topics, ranging from local concerns, such as social and medical services provision in Sutton Coldfield, to issues of national and international interest such as tax transparency and climate change. Speaking after the meeting, Mr Mitchell said “I enjoy this regular contact with the faith leaders in the community, and the insights that they provide on the needs and concerns of Suttonians, as well as their opinions on broader political issues”.
