Andrew Mitchell MP encourages Royal Town residents to submit views to strategic planning and infrastructure call for evidence

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the West Midlands has re-launched a call for evidence into strategic planning and infrastructure in the region to help inform their forthcoming report into this subject.

This report is looking to develop ideas and recommendations to boost regeneration and economic growth across the West Midlands.

The APPG’s inquiry was originally launched in 2019, but as a result of the 2019 General Election and the pandemic, the original report was delayed, and the APPG is now calling for further submissions to inform their report, which will be published by the end of the year.

Commenting Andrew Mitchell said:

“Aside from Coronavirus related correspondence, planning is one of the subjects that I am contacted about most frequently so I am keen to highlight an opportunity for Suttonians to feed into a call for evidence into strategic planning and infrastructure in the West Midlands. Following the pandemic as we look to local and regional recovery plans, it’s important that the APPG’s report includes the views of Royal Town residents and businesses in terms of our region’s need for housing, infrastructure and business growth.”
