Andrew Mitchell MP held his Annual Meeting with Headteachers from Sutton Coldfield’s Secondary Schools and a representative from each school’s Governing Body. The meeting is an opportunity for Sutton’s MP to catch up with the Headteachers of all seven of Sutton’s Secondary Schools and the Principal of Birmingham Metropolitan College. This year the topics under discussion included academies, Ofsted and the vision for education in Birmingham in ten years time. Andrew Mitchell MP said, “This year’s Annual Meeting once again provided a useful forum for discussion of local and national education issues. Education reform is a key priority for this Government and we discussed the challenges and opportunities this presents for Sutton schools. “Our yearly meeting provides an essential update on the issues affecting teachers and students in Sutton Coldfield and a chance for me to meet Sutton’s Headteachers and thank them for all that they and their staff do for my young constituents.” Photo: (left-right) Andrew Mitchell MP with Chris Stone, Headteacher at The Arthur Terry School, Tracy Campbell, Headteacher at Plantsbrook School and Andy Bird, Headteacher at Fairfax School',
