Andrew Mitchell MP has visited All Saints Pre-School at All Saints Church Centre to mark World School Milk Day and lend a hand with milk monitoring duties. Celebrated globally, this year on 28 September, World School Milk Day aims to encourage children to drink more milk - giving them healthy bones and teeth. School milk is currently free in the UK for children under the age of five in primary education. Andrew Mitchell spoke with all the staff before meeting the children and handing out their morning milk. Andrew Mitchell MP said, “I was pleased to visit All Saints Pre-School and help out with milk monitoring duties! It was clear that the children were fans of their daily milk which is good as it’s vital for building healthy bones and teeth.” Managing Director for Cool Milk, John Sedgwick said, “Encouraging milk consumption from an early age is vital for establishing good eating habits. What better time in life to start drinking milk than when we need it most.” For more information go to www.worldschoolmilkday.com
