Andrew Mitchell MP has welcomed the Government’s announcement of an Enterprise Zone in Birmingham. The Budget announced that the Government would create 21 new Enterprise Zones, within local enterprise partnerships, with simplified planning rules, super-fast broadband and tax breaks for businesses. The areas will have real potential to create new businesses and jobs with wider economic benefits. The focus of the Enterprise Zones announced today is on cities and those areas that have missed out in the last ten years. Welcoming the new Birmingham Enterprise Zone, Andrew Mitchell MP said, “Birmingham’s Enterprise Zone will boost growth, jobs and enterprise, with lower taxes and reduced red tape to attract business. It is also unashamedly localist by keeping power and profits within the local area so our community benefits.”
