Andrew Mitchell MP has visited New Hall Primary School on Langley Hall Drive in Sutton Coldfield to tour the school and speak to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. Andrew was greeted by Headteacher Beverley Hanks and the school’s Head Boy and Head Girl. After touring the whole school, Sutton’s MP joined a Year 5 class where he participated in a music lesson – signing with the children! He then met with Year 6 pupils where he presented an award from the Rotary Club to the class and answered a series of questions. Andrew Mitchell MP said, “In the last few weeks I have visited five of Sutton’s Primary Schools. It’s a hugely important part of my role as Sutton’s MP and I try to help the schools with any problems they may be facing, wherever I can. “Next month I will join all of Sutton’s Secondary School Headteachers to discuss their progress to date as well as meeting with our town’s top Sixth Form debaters at the 10th annual Sutton Coldfield Inter-School’s Parliamentary Debating Competition.” Photos: Andrew Mitchell MP singing with Year 5 pupils and answering questions from Year 6 pupils at New Hall Primary School.
