Andrew Mitchell MP attended Mere Green Combined School’s Paralympic Sports Day to present trophies to each year group in the school’s closing ceremony. The day was supported by the Sainsbury’s store in Mere Green who provided free sports equipment to encourage the children to try a Paralympic sport. This is part of a challenge set by Sainsbury’s to get 1 million children involved in the Paralympics.
