Andrew Mitchell MP has visited the Four Oaks Youth Group based at Arthur Terry School to take part in their Book Club project which is helping young people from the Sutton community improve their literacy skills. Following an earlier meeting with the Group Mr Mitchell put them in touch with the Starbucks coffee chain who offer sponsorship as part of their community engagement programme to enable young people to bring about change in their local communities. Mr Mitchell, who was accompanied by local Councillor Anne Underwood, heard that the Group’s bid has now been successful. Following his visit Andrew Mitchell MP said, “It is always a pleasure to visit Arthur Terry School and my younger constituents. I am delighted this Group who have worked extremely hard on their pitch have been successful in securing funding for their project. These young people are to be commended on their commitment to helping other young people from Sutton.”
