Andrew Mitchell MP has visited Boldmere Junior School, to see the newly installed outdoor gym and meet with Headteacher Carl Glasgow to discuss the school’s progress. Boldmere School received a Big Lottery Grant of £10,000 to fund the purchase of outdoor gym equipment. An outdoor gym boosts the School’s ability to provide extra-curricular activities and physical exercise for young children. Andrew Mitchell was given a demonstration by pupils of the new equipment. He also toured the school with Mr Glasgow and discussed the positive changes that have taken place at Boldmere School. Mr Glasgow said “The gym equipment is a wonderful addition to our exciting physical recreational facilities that children get to use before, throughout and after the school day”. Following his visit Andrew Mitchell said “I have enjoyed this opportunity to see the new gym equipment and hear from the pupils how much fun it is to use. It is good to see the Big Lottery money being used well and in Sutton Coldfield”.
