Andrew Mitchell MP visits Brewhouse & Kitchen

Andrew Mitchell MP has visited Brewhouse & Kitchen on Birmingham Road to speak to the staff about the easing of the Covid 19 restrictions and the impact on the hospitality sector.

Brewhouse & Kitchen is still working hard to keep the business Covid -19 safe and alongside its range of food and drinks it has also restarted its brewery experience days and beer and gin masterclasses.

During his visit Andrew met Gary Bruce, the Manager of the Brewhouse to discuss a number of key issues that are affecting the pub and hospitality trade including staff shortages. They also discussed the Government’s levelling up plans and professional training within the industry. The Brewhouse & Kitchen run an apprenticeship scheme to help people learn more about the hospitality sector and build up a career within the business.

Commenting, Mr Mitchell said

“It was great to hear of the ways in which the Brewhouse and Kitchen is supporting local jobs. The business has recruited school leavers in Sutton Coldfield and provided them with professional work experience. This Brewhouse is a fantastic pub with some excellent locally brewed drinks such as the Double O Four Oaks, a homage to the late Roger Moore who lived in Four Oaks.”
