Andrew Mitchell MP has visited an exciting new supported living project designed to meet the specific needs and aspirations of people living with learning disabilities and which is now nearing completion at its site in Wylde Green.
The new development in Wylde Green is designed around the very complex needs of people who live with learning disabilities. It aims to maximise their inclusion within the local community while also providing any necessary nursing or day care on site so that its residents can be as independent as possible.
The converted Victorian property of five self-contained apartments will be run by the Jaffray Care Group, a not for profit organisation.
While at the site, which is due for completion later this month, Andrew Mitchell toured the development and spoke to Gerry Dunnigan, Chief Executive of the Jaffray Care Group and his team.
Andrew Mitchell MP said, “This is an excellent and well managed project. I look forward to seeing it when it is fully completed, as well as meeting some of the people who will benefit from it.”
