Pupils at Minworth Junior and Infant School in Sutton Coldfield have had a visit from their local MP Andrew Mitchell who addressed the whole school at their Friday morning assembly and then answered questions from the pupils. Andrew Mitchell was invited to the school by Headteacher Mrs Josie Leese to speak to the children about his role as Sutton’s MP. After speaking to the children Mr Mitchell answered questions from the pupils, covering a range of topics. The children were particularly interested to hear about whether their MP had ever met any celebrities as well as a trip to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen. Andrew Mitchell MP said, “I thoroughly enjoy visiting all the schools in my constituency, and today it was a pleasure to meet some of my younger constituents at Minworth Junior and Infants. The pupils were all very enthusiastic.” Photo: Andrew Mitchell MP, Headteacher Mrs Josie Leese and pupils from Minworth Junior and Infant School.
