Andrew Mitchell MP has visited Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, where he addressed a Sixth Form assembly and answered questions from the students. He was also given a tour of the school. Mr Mitchell was greeted by Head Teacher Maggie Shackleton. He then addressed a large group of Sixth Formers at an assembly, speaking about his role as Sutton’s Member of Parliament as well as his Cabinet post of Secretary of State for International Development. Mr Mitchell particularly focussed on empowering women by educating girls in the developing world.
