The Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP welcomed former Chancellor the Rt Hon Lord Lamont to the 2013 Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association Annual Dinner that look place last Friday, 20 November at the Moor Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association welcomed the Rt Hon Lord Lamont who shared stories from his time in Government and commented on the British economy, Scottish referendum and the European Union. Other attendees included the Conservative Association President Hon Alderman David Roy and the Chairman Councillor Margaret Waddington as well as West Midlands MEP Anthea McIntyre. Andrew Mitchell said ‘I would like to thank Lord Lamont and every member of the Sutton Coldfield and wider Birmingham community here for making this evening such a wonderful event. On the national level we as Conservatives can be proud of the work this Government is doing to turn the country’s economy around. Councillor Waddington commented that it had been the most successful Association Dinner in nine years and was happy to see businesses and friends from other constituencies present.
