The fundraising event which included a raffle and an auction raised substantial funds for the Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association. Chairman of the Association, Councillor Margaret Waddington, said “It was lovely to bring our Annual Dinner back to Moor Hall. It was our most successful event in years and our thanks go to everyone who supported the dinner and to all those who helped make the night such a success.\'\' Andrew Mitchell MP said, “We are now just over halfway through this Parliament and whilst it has been a tough year on the economic front, we can be cautiously optimistic that we are on the right track to economic recovery. I took the opportunity to assure local Conservatives that the Coalition Government will continue to deliver Conservative economic policies to deal with our debts to lay the foundations for lasting prosperity.” “I am extremely grateful to my colleague the Rt Hon Andrew Lansley for coming to Sutton Coldfield to be our Guest Speaker, his speech was both entertaining and interesting.” Photo: The Rt Hon Andrew Lansley MP with Councillor Margaret Waddington, Chairman of the Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association and the Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP.
