Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, was the guest speaker at this year’s Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association Annual Dinner which took place last Friday, 19 November, at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall. The flag ship event attracted more local Conservatives from Sutton Coldfield and nearby Associations than ever before. Attendees included Sutton Councillors, Birmingham City Council Leader Mike Whitby and Tamworth MP Christopher Pincher. The fundraising event which included a raffle made nearly £2,000 for the Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association. The Chairman of the Association, Cllr Margaret Waddington, told those present that the Conservative Party in Sutton was going from strength to strength serving local people and contributing to the Conservative efforts in neighbouring seats.
