T7. Earlier this year, the Government cut almost £6 million of funding for a Save the Children programme providing education and other services to girls in Afghanistan, despite a promise to put women and girls at the heart of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s work. The Minister of State, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (Mr Andrew Mitchell)
