I am humbled and honoured to have been given the opportunity to serve in the Government under prime minster Rishi Sunak. As Minister of State for Development, I look forward to working with the Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, to continue promoting the UK’s values on the world stage.
It has been a great autumn day in the Royal Town which will see me tonight enjoying supper with the Bishop of Aston and David Urquhart, Bishop of Birmingham, who very sadly will soon be retiring and is tonight vising our Royal Town.
This week Parliament has not been sitting and I attended the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham. It was an opportunity to showcase the city’s achievements, talk about the region’s great potential, and advocate for causes that matter to all of us in the Royal Town and that are close to my heart.
