This week I have been in Cameroon banging the drum for British business and investment and building on the strong friendship and long historical relationship between our two countries - all that prior to returning to the Royal Town last nigh.
The team from the KFC in New Oscott had approached me as the Royal Town’s MP to support their litter pick this week which I was unfortunately unable to join. However, I am very pleased to support KFC’s litter picking in Sutton Coldfield.
Last year Mayor Andy Street and I secured £25 million as part of the Government's national investment programme for the Royal Town. Since then, Sutton Town Council and Birmingham City Council have been working on the detailed designs for this transformative project.

Andrew Mitchell had another meeting with members of Eco Sutton church group. They discussed important topics such as water quality, investment into the water industry, growth of green skilled jobs and the instillation of heat Pumps.
Total crime year-on-year across the West Midlands has increased by 113% over the past decade. That's the finding from a Freedom Of Information request by local resident (and our former PCC candidate) Capt. Jay Singh-Sohal, who says that it's a sign that Labour Police Commissioners have failed to get crime down during their decade in charge of our region's policing.
