I arrived back in the Royal Town last night after an energetic week of activity – mostly on my ministerial work - visiting 3 countries that are close partners of the UK and with which we share tremendous mutual interests.

Our thoughts are with the many victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria. My focus this week has been on leading the UK’s response to support our allies and those affected.

As part of my Ministerial work this week I’ve been in Washington, but wherever I am, the Royal Town remains at the forefront of my work and actions.

I have been chasing up progress on our Town’s cinema this week. The slight delay has been caused by failure to sign the Section 106 deal which releases the money which then unlocks the renovation.
